Is there somewhere that discusses the difference between the style modes?
There is Frameworkless, Foundation 6, Bootstrap and Materialize.
I see the Component Library and like some of the pre-made components but not sure why they have different modes. I've been using Foundation on all my sites so far.

Stick with Foundation if that's what you've been using.
Each frameworks has it's own prebuilt styles or classes. You can visit the home pages of each frame work to see what they each offer. They're all responsive.

Eric is of course correct in so much as if you have used foundation before then that's probably the best one to stick with, as far as advise help and user support on this forum, you would also find that there are probably far more other users able to advise regarding help etc.

However, should you wish to discover more about the different framework's just google it (or whichever search engine you prefer) there are plenty of articles around that delve into the differences, advantages, disadvantages etc.

However (again), if you have seen a component on a different framework than foundation, or would like to try a different framework (frameworkless, for example) but a component you like isn't available , then you can either try to emulate that component, effect etc using whatever is available or make your own custom CSS to achieve the required result.
You can even bring in the CSS from say foundation into any of the other frameworks, or vicy verky

There is somewhere that discusses the difference between the style modes. In the "Site Designer Guide" there is a section called "Choosing a CSS Framework". Thats section explains the differences and has links for more information for each of the styles. There is a video made by CoffeeCup team to give you more information as well.
With Site Designer, you can kickoff your site projects from three epic framework choices: Foundation, Bootstrap, Materialize. You can also choose to go at without a base framework too.

Everybody has a favorite style for their own reasons. I like Frameworkless, but still like the others.
I think that the main factor is, that if you are going to buy or use the free templates that CoffeeCup provides, they let you preview each and tell you which is used in the description. The main warning is that if you are using foundation for example and pay for a bootstrap template you will not be able to extract components to use in your in your pages. So if you are going to use their templates then check them all out, and then the template that you decide to use will be what you are going to use in that project. Even if they have a button in a bootstrap page you like the style, you will not be able to save it as a component and place into another framework. Even if the button does not use any bootstrap properties. You will be able to manually recreate the button. So if you are going to pay for a template then choose wisely.
I still will download and look at, and learn from templates that are free, as you can learn from them all.
