As this is the Site Designer forum, I'm wondering whether the question relates to the matters in this thread.

If so, I may be wrong, but it seems to me that the criteria are
(a) whether the update subscription has expired (Actions > Preferences in SD);
(b) whether the program has been able to check that the user has a valid licence to use the program: if on three successive days the program is unable to check this via the internet (and that could, of course, be due to internet connection problems), it assumes one hasn't got a valid licence.

If those are not the criteria, I think it would be useful if the CoffeeCup team posted the criteria in this thread.

I used VSD a week or two ago and then last night it wouldn't let me in

I own every piece of software that coffee cup sells even including half a dozen that have been orphaned over the last 25 years, though I mostly only use 3 or 4 things regularly. So I am not on here shopping every week.

My initial reaction is to deactivate coffee cup and plan ahead with out them

Raj, I have news for you from CC:
Open SD, then open Actions, then Preferences. There is a place right at the top where you type in your CC credentials, maybe you need to click on 'Check subscription' or something first. Your CC username and password are the details you need to use. When done, you should see that you have a valid license until July 3rd. That means that you can continue using SD as long as you want, but after the mentioned date you need to pay for an update.

OK Thank you Inger

I wasn't aware that they had switched to a subscription model.

Raj
