I'm just starting to use RSD and I need someone to point me to some basic tutorials. In particular:
How to insert a real image into a placeholder image
How to use the Resources screen
How to set a breakpoint and save the changes made for it
Thanks

Thanks for the pointers.
Here's the problem: I've spent literally hours trolling through the library of help articles and forum listings over the past several days trying to get answers to some specific things. Let me start with just one.
I want to include some images with links and in one of the articles or forum threads, someone advised using the Image-Link element (makes sense). So I have the Image-Link placeholders where I want them and now I want to attach an actual image to one of them to see how it looks. In the Design pane for Image-Link I see two places that look like good candidate for connecting the placeholder with the real image: Export Path and Href. Experimenting with them has yielded nothing so far. I also experimented a bit with the Project Resources window which also seemed promising as a place to chose and image (resource) and link it to the placeholder. No luck.
I'm not dumb, but this has me stumped.

That process is very easy Guy. I will break it down into steps for you to make it easier.

1. Click Resources.
2. Click Add Files/Folders
3. Browse and select the image you want to use and then click Ok.
4. Select the Placeholder image on your page and go to the Design Pane.
5. Under the Picture drop down, change it from Placeholder to Local image
6. Select the image you added in step 3 and click Select.

That is it. ;)

Great!
Just clarify one thing for me: I had the placeholder as element type "Image-Link," which was what one of the articles or forum answers suggested, and with that type of element the option to place the actual image doesn't seem to be available. Does that imply that those kind of placeholder elements are only for layout design?
Thanks

Hello Guy,

You need to read the material and watch the videos. Its explained many times. If you don't want to invest that time no one here will likely want to help you out.

Think of it as we are teaching you to fish... instead of catching the fish for you ;)

Image Links are for Responsive LAYOUT Maker. Make sure you are reading articles for Responsive SITE Designer. Within Responsive Site Designer, you can use the Picture Element or the Picture Link Element, both allow you to customize the placeholder images with your own.

OK, that's the answer I wanted, and I have been trying to be conscious of that -- I guess I had the RSD "Temp Image Link" confused with Image Link.
I promise I'll do my homework from now on.
Thanks

Hi, I'll be asking some dumb questions, and I hope I don't get the old, if you don't want to spend the time nonsense I just read here. That's not helpful and I`ll tell you this, Coffee Cup...your "Help" Videos and "Tutorials" are pretty scattered and unorganized. I've spent my money, and I have spent some time....but I don't have 2 weeks to find the answer to my questions or issues. So it would be great to get help, not a lecture about how I should spend my life figuring out your software.
Question:? I want to put my logo at the top center of the page. Its a long logo lets say 5 Inches by 1.5 inches tall.
all I see when I try to add image element is 4:3 3:2 sizes etc.....so what would be the best way for me to do this. I'm sure there must be a very simple way to do this, but I can't seem to figure that out....I'm not too smart I guess.
Thanks!
Jim T.
