I have been having trouble with the internal uploading on my shopping cart. Anyone know what files are necessary in doing a manual upload via external ftp?

In SCC, select "File", "Export Shop for Upload". Specify a folder for the save, then upload the files to your server from that folder.

If you have a folder on your server specifically for your cart, such as "shop", upload the files there.

I should have been clearer in my post. Its a long story, but the built in FTP function does not work on my computer, so I need to upload manually using a different FTP. What I need to know is which files do I need to upload to make my cart function properly.

I understood exactly what you meant. If you follow my instructions, you can use whatever ftp client you want to upload the files. They are all in the folder that's created when you do the export.

Here's what a folder created by the export function looks like. All the files and folders included need to be uploaded to your server.

Is this a Windows version change issue Eric? If not, what happened that it stopped working? I woudl suggest you work on it (if you haven't already been doing so that is which I'm pretty sure I saw a thread where you're getting help with an issue but I can't remember what it is off hand lol). The reason I say this is because you will definitely want to be using the internal FTP when the Pro version comes out if you plan to use it. It will need to sync with things on your site which if it's unable to connect correctly may give you problems. Hopefully it's something you can get worked out :)

Jo Ann, I switched operating systems (from vista to 7), and when I redownloaded all of my software, I could not get the upload feature on SC to work. I put in several support tickets and posted on the forums. Spinny had some good suggestions, but they have not worked yet. I have done all of the necessary procedures to ensure that the program should work properly, and yet it does not.

The program acts like its not compatible with Windows 7, yet CC claims it is. Not sure whats going on, but getting anxious since I have important client work that needs to be uploaded.

UUUUUgggggghhhhhh!

Ah yes I knew I had seen a thread with your problems going on it. I sure hope you are able to get that worked out at some point. Do keep us posted on it, and until then, what is suggested above is definitely the way to go then.

well, as a work around, save the shop. Then "file" > "export shop for upload" to a file on your computer and then upload the files with FTP to your server.

Dave I think Eric solved his problem by buying a new laptop :D
I know you believe you understand what you think I said...but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not exactly what I meant.
