Yea, it works just by discounting the ending price (paying price) :D

Thanks Eric, good to know. I haven't actually tried/tested the google payment system yet so I guess I'll have to do that soon and get that all setup too then. :)

You can setup coupons through Google Checkout. My current one is code HA44 for $5 off $30.

And this works with using the Shopping Cart Creator system? I'm not sure how that would work since we haven't any coupon code boxes in the SCC that the customer could fill in to get the ending price, but if it's a possibility that we can let them know will go into affect at checkout in Google that would at least be something.

You enter the code after clicking through to Google in their coupon box. You can test it on my site and see the coupon applied before actually paying for anything if you'd like to try it out. I recommend you make a purchase though. :)

Google Checkout also occasionally offers opt in coupon that are advertised on the checkout button itself. The last one was for Valentine's Day and you had four options of discounts to choose from.

You can also set up promotions similar to coupons but entering a coupon code would not be needed. Google offers nine different "types" such as $5 of $30, $10 off $60, etc. You can also establish a start and end date for the promotion.

Would it be safe to say that the coupon feature idea is dead? Or pretty much the growth and/or using SCC, at all is dead?

Had the reg version and recently purchased the pro SCC.... I think it was a bad decision for this purchase since it seems that SSC is appearing to be more dead than alive... at least that what I find the more I research. It's not even in the top nav of the coffeecup website anymore. Things that make you go "Hmmm".

thanks.

Hi James,

I think there is something very special coming with an entirely new shopping cart program. This one will be totally responsive and have features like coupons and much more!

But yes I suspect that there will be no more upgrades for such pro. I wouldn't say that you wasted you money though. It's a very good program I use it all the time. Works even better with shopping cart designer!

Hi Steve,

Thanks for the info. Yes, I had SCDP before going pro with the cart... mainly upgraded due to pro-theme limitation.

Would be nice to see something new. All the themes that came with SC (basic) are dead (even the additional basic theme packs I purchased were removed without my knowledge last year from my CoffeeCup "Download" area.

Suppose we'll see, thanks again.
