How does one test the cart? I need to be sure that it works before it goes live.

hiya Dan,
Download the trial version which I believe has a 7 day trial period. You can get that on the Cart Page here for the Pro version (definitely recommended version:

Or the basic version with less features here:

And the companion Shopping Cart Designer Pro which allows you to edit themes for the carts here:

Incase you meant, test your live cart 
I use a separate Paypal account for test purchases, (1p purchase 20p charge) if you really need to you can then credit yourself
there is a more complicated way of doing it, if thats what you mean ask again someone else can explain how

Ah thanks Viv I didn't catch that they probably meant testing the cart itself. I've never set one up, but PayPal does have a feature called a Sandbox that you can setup for testing shopping cart systems. Check with PayPal's site and do a search or something for the Sandbox.

I have set up an account with Sandbox in PayPal and have tried to buy product but I keep getting errors? Can anyone help?
