Hiya Bill,

I'm not sure if I'm understanding what you have there, but if I am, that's how the Pro version is already setup:
Category
... sub
... sub
... sub
... sub

Category
... sub
... sub
... sub

And so on, only 1 deep as above, but you can have many subcategories already within the main categories, up to 3000 total categories/subcategories.

I agree having deeper than just 1 sub level would be a great thing though.

Totally awsome!

I tried to do multiple subs earlier and it wouldn't let me, when I saw your post I went back to double check and decided to try something and it worked.

I'd been putting in 1 sub-category and then the option greyed out and I assumed that was it for that category. I went back and clicked on the main category again and it let me do another sub for that category.

I can live with this, but still hope for more sub-levels. hint, hint, hint.

Appreciate the feedback.

Two other things did come to mind between my original post and now.

Be nice to have a field to offer insured shipping with a cost rather than have to define an entirely new shipping method. Particularly since the cost of insuring different products can vary so widely.

My other will take some time to think about how to present it clearly so nothing on that right now.

Thanks again

Bill
I think you can get around that in the SCC Pro with an option specific to that product. I have set up various gift wrapping options with prices, but that could just as well be an insurance (or not) that the customer chooses to add into the total.
Check out this page - at the bottom you can see the gift wrapping options dropdown menu.

Any costs connected with the chosen option included in that menu are automatically added into the product total in the view cart page.

Global settings for categories

I would like to be able to go into the category details and set a global sales setting for all products within that category which will automatically be applied to all prices.
It could probably be applied from within the pricing of any one of the products in the same way that the options fields are shared just by sharing the sales/discount percentage for all.

That is what the Product Grid is used for.

Good to know...
now I would like to be able to see my discounted price in that table too. And as I can add a new report in the product grid, why can't I decide what I want to see in that report (or can I???)
Maths was never my forte

You can do that too. Look at the column labeled "Discount". You can also configure what you want to see by clicking on "Configure Columns".

One feature that I would like to see is an option to to make the background static. For the title, page, and footer

Informational content can then be added to the outside background and remain in the window. Better yet a future option to place windows there with rotating content. Ads, coming soon, upcoming sale, events, featured product, etc.

Are there any plans to allow visitors/shoppers to create and account so we can capture e-mail addresses? More importantly it would also be the first step in allowing a visitor to save a shopping cart for later retrieval and/or creating a wishlist that they could let others view for birthdays, Christmas, etc.

Even as it is right now it's a program that was TOTALLY worth the wait, but that I wish I'd had a year ago.

Once I found out the answer to my problem of importing themes I've only gotten more and more impressed with the program.

I can see the retail price, the discount and apply as a percentage
But there is no check box for "final price" (or discounted price).

I can create a new report name but I can only configure that new report according to the check box options already available in the grid. I cannot add extra content or check boxes to the new report I create, nor rename the title of any of the columns to suit my own needs from what I can see. I would also like to see the title of the report grid I am looking at even though I do see that it is reasonably obvious.

I hope if CC do bring in this feature, it's optional. Personally, I loathe websites that require setting up of an account, and I leave. :D
