I told my client back in January that this would be available by mid-February (since that's what CoffeeCup told us).

This delay is making me look like a fool.

PLEASE release this soon.

It shouldn't be too much longer Aaron, give a little longer to let them make sure the main quirks and kinks are ironed out and to make sure I can't break it again lol. I'm sure your clients would rather have a more functional and more feature rich program than one that only has half of what we'd like in it and then not work so great because it wasn't tested enough. At least I would hope they would :) Hang in there, it's a comin' soon :)

Software houses no matter how big or small often miss release dates. Anyone remember how late Microsoft was with Windows 98 for example? I for one can't wait for this pro version but I'd far rather it was fully tested first. If this is as good as it looks it will be well worth the wait.

The last I heard, the final refinements were happening this week. Not sure what happens after the "final refinements", but my guess is before the end of the month.

BTW, we are all in the same boat, so be creative until the pro version comes out, I have been told it will be worth it. :D

As I recall, CC never gave out a release date. They offered a target they were hoping to hit, that is all (and it was stated as such), and as I recall even that was a window of something like two weeks or more. No software house can/should ever give fixed release dates, the nature of the development cycle makes that unwise. CC is not run by unwise people.

No dates have been given, but Scott did say in a post earlier this week that they were finishing the last round of testing this week. :D

But, ya never know how long it will take once they go through the "finalization" stage.

I have the third and hopefully last beta version on my systems. As well as the finalising of the program, there is also the little matter of creating the documentation for the program. There have been significant differences between all three beta versions and the documentation needs to reflect those changes.

I think that when folks see all the work that has gone into it and try out its feature list, they'll soon see just where the time has gone. ;)

If you recall, Scott NEVER committed to a hard date. The best that he has said, was that he hoped to have it out by mid- to late-Feb. Even at that, I wouldn't have ever told a client that. As anyone who has worked around computers and software knows, release dates aren't set in stone until the actual release is made public and the software is available for download. Things happen, and dates get pushed back. Having had the pleasure of being in on the first round of BETA, I can tell you that this is a great product, but there were things that needed to be addressed. I'd much rather wait an extra week or two and have CC feel confident that they finished the job the best they could, than just throw it together to please those expecting it by a certain date and say "we'll fix it later..."
