Does anyone know if Paypal Advanced is on the list of future enhancements? Or has anyone successfully integrated Paypal Advanced with Shopping Cart?

I am looking for checkout options that allow customers to more easily use their credit cards for purchases and are not redirected to a Paypal or other merchant page.

I have never heard of Paypal Advanced, but I have a business account with Paypal and I use CoffeeCup Shopping Cart Creator Pro to run my store and I use Paypal exclusively as the payment gateway. It allows my buyers to use AmEx, VISA or Mastercard directly without needing to have a Paypal account at all.

Maybe a business account is the same thing as "Paypal Advanced" I am not sure, but it works a treat for me.

Just looked at Paypal Avanced, looks to me as though site would then have to be PCI compliant. I do not think that would benefit this cart. You would also need a secure server.

Like Dave, I had not heard of it before.

Just had a look myself too, Keith.

Looks like "Bill me later" and the mobile card reader are the only bonus features. The card reader is not relevant for the Shopping Cart software and most buyers won't walk away just because you don't offer Bill Me Later.

So, Paypal Advanced doesn't seem to offer anything of merit that is not already available from Paypal when used as the payment gateway for a Shopping Cart Creator store if you ask me.

As I've said, with normal Paypal tools, my buyers can use any of the following: Paypal, Visa, Mastercard, American Express. They do NOT need to have their own Paypal account to make a purchase.
