client gets to shopping cart, details are all there for AUTOMATED payment by Google Wallet or Paypal.

What if my client wants to pay by direct bank transfer or Telegraph transfer

Anyone got a solution (ie) adding an extra button next to google and paypal buttons that saves the cart details and emails me with the order, or the client can have it saved to email to me

Followed by a pop up window with my bank details or swift code and IBAM number etc.

Failing this can the new form builder be integrated to accept the cart details so it can forward them on to me, I can put my IBAM etc as text on the form.

Remembering i can't code,

I have had my bank details on my website since day 1, on the say so of Santander, who my business bank account is with.

They have guaranteed me, not only is the risk miniscule, but they are liable for any losses NOT ME !

And as i get the majority of larger payments in UK by direct bank transfer which is free, its paid off big time, I find lots of people buying £400 or £500 items hate using Paypal etc gateways.

As long as they take the hit and not you... But I would never do it. And I would never suggest that it be done either.

But I would like to buy a piece from you...

I can Paypal, transfer the $10.02 to you right away... Let me know how long it will take to make.

Can I get a bulk order of those?

I just supplied one of those last week to a UK customer @ £380.00

What surprised me was afterwards they explained a local to them high street jewellers had quoted them £800.00 for the same ring from the same manufacturer, they even used the same part number.

Wish i could sell a couple a week, how many would you like :D

I think the point Viv, is that the item is selling for 1 cent on your site and we can order it for $10.01 USD with shipping included international. Granted you would hopefully catch that and know it was messed up, but.... you could end up with trouble if someone was being a jerk about it :P

Some banks now have Visa Bank Cards that you can use as a debit card as before but also anywhere that accepts Visa, you can enter card number and its PIN and money is taken from your bank account.

I had one person order @ £0.00p and pay the £2.00 postage at the checkout, I sent them a nice printout of the picture with the estimate on it ;)

The bank details issue is altogether different, I have talked to my business bank Santander about this before putting the details on my website and they say its perfectly safe.

For those tooooo young to remember cheques, buying by post and in early days of the internet you would order an item to be posted to you, so they have your full address and postcode, then you put a cheque in the envelope with your sort code on, you bank account number , and to make matters even worse you autographed it for them.

Further more on the back they would ask you to place your guarantee card details, and give it to the post office, who at Christmas time especially employed a load of unemployed students desperate for cash to deliver the envelope to a company address where they were blatantly selling shoes and handbags to the public at large.

Today in UK cant speak for anywhere else in the world, you CAN NOT make an online transaction from your own bank, unless you have the debit card in your hand, put it into a digital machine and enter your pin number, which gives you a random number to enter into your log in before you can access your account, then you need the three numbers on the reverse of the card before you can procceed.

So the only person who is LIKELY to fraudulently use my bank account is my wife, and if she does it will be my loss NOT THE SHOP SHE ORDERED FROM.

Yes hackers will do there best to use my details, and yes they could try to use my details

More to the point they could try to open a new account using my details, BUT its a business account with a business name and thats hard to open in the UK without your passport, driving licence, a few household bills with your address on, and a credit search.

If you are running your SCCP shop using a private account, (A) you should not be, (B) you are likely to get hacked

I have a shop online, and i want to sell products the majority of which are £300.00 and over and i want customers who have the money in their bank accounts to be able to pay me hassle free.

This thread was started because Paypal, the biggest online gateway in UK CAN NOT VERIFY clients in the Netherlands, and numerous other countries in the world, so i have to turn away every order which i get , this month alone that comes to £1,200.00 from Holland alone, and that hurts in todays climate.

I am open to any suggestions, hence i started this thread, and yes i take on board everyone's concerns, but HELP someone out there must have the answers because Paypal don't

Maybe CC can come up with some software that can confirm and verify clients addresses and add it to SCCP at checkout

I see what you're saying Viv, UK must be very different than US, here half the time you don't even have to sign for your credit card purchases right in the stores anymore, strangely unsecure here in my opinion.

Anyways, for PayPal, I find that surprising that it gives you issues for verification because they have their own verification system built into their service. If you verify your bank account, that also verifies your address etc. That isn't acceptable there?

If you look at the person's information in PayPal, it will tell you if they are a verified account or not, if not I would turn them away too, but if so, that usually means they have verified their information and allowed PayPal to verify their bank account.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
