Like many people I waited a long time for a 'click and pay' shopping cart, with enough features to make it a practical proposition for deployment in a diverse range of businesses. Whilst the eventual launch of the pro version took a lot longer than originally anticipated, having a cart software with a 'straight to payment processor' architecture is now a reality.

As the pro version has been out long enough now for folks to have live sites up and for those sites to have started generating income for their owners, it would be interesting to hear some general comments back from users as to how they have found the program in use. Did you find the program easy to use? Could the documentation be improved in any areas? Have you noticed any difference in sales? Have you found any minor bugs in the program that you have not yet reported?

Whilst the development team already have a list of suggestions for improvements to the program, virtually all of the future development of Cart Creator will come from feedback received from existing owners of the program, as they are the ones actually using the program. The current pro version of Cart Creator is the 'mark one' version, with refinements and other features planned for later versions, so do find a little time to give your feedback to the team and help make a good product even better still. :)

United States Postal Service eh? When I've ordered stuff from the States, the USPS online tracking only works about two weeks after the item has actually been delivered. :) Give them their due though, they've never lost any of my Stateside based deliveries (yet).

One of my major concerns with the program originally, was its lack of support for IE6. But looking at the latest browser stats from well informed sites, IE6 usage has dropped from around 5.5% in the summer to around 2.5% in December 2010. Whiilst I still don't like the idea of a few customers seeing a malformed site (IE6), I look at the bigger picture of offering a potential 97% of my customers a much easier checkout experience and (hopefully) reduced cart abandonment due to filling out tedious forms on my sites.

At least its not the other way around. I'm in the states and have had a number of times the tracking says the package got delivered and it shows up a few days later. Do you think it might work perfect halfway out in the ocean.:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Who said anything about tracking? That link is to a shipping calculator API. And it doesn't get any easier than that.

Was thinking more in terms of someone using them for international shipping, where they appear to have no concept of where their customer's tracked parcels are at any given moment in time. :/

Oh God yes, please!!!!! And the sooner the better :P :P

I love my SCCP, but it has only one MAJOR problem and that is the shipping nightmare!!
What I have setup, now needs to be changed already because the USPS raised their rates on the 1st of the year.

I am mainly looking forward to a digital product/download solution to be incorporated into SCC. I know this was mentioned a few times before launch as something that would follow eventually. When SCC gets that I will be able to do ALL of my carts using Coffee Cup :-)

Really need a digital download component to the software. One that works across all platforms (paypal, google, authroize, etc.) When I purchased shopping cart creator. I assumed this was part of the package...but found out quickly it wasn't. So a digital download component has be priority in my opinion. One where the url location of the file is either masked after purchase, or an email sent with the download link would be great.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
