Full width Navigation Bar like Swag...

Is there anyway to get a full page navigation bar like what's shown in the CC Swag Shop. I've tried everything using the Blank template. I tried using the Clean Slate template also, but the detail information was around the wrong way to how I want it and could not see a way to change it.

Thanks.

That is a great question. I have been told yes, but I have never been able to figure it out either. Maybe JoAnn knows.

haha Eric :P

Actually though, I would "think" that would be a feature in the Designer providing it has what I'm thinking (no I'm not loading it up to check right now either LOL). Find out if there's an area for that bar section on the theme that you choose (or the blanks) and then see if it has a repeat x & y checkbox. That would be what I would imagine it is, and it's probably just a slice of image that is repeated horizontally across with a 100% width.

Just guessing here of course, but that would make sense to me :P

Thanks Jo Ann. I just tried to click repeat 'horizontally', but no go. :(

These are the four set boxes under Repeat, but no check boxes to tick.

There is horizontal position option with a space to put in pixels??

Under Advanced there is a nav bar width, with pixels in %.

I'm so new to SCD Pro. :|

lol I'll have to play around with it Bren and see what it does for that, don't think I've ever tried to add a nav bar across the page before, but I'm sure it can be done. One way might be to choose a theme that already has one so that you can then just adjust the settings for the one that is there so that it includes the image(s) you want in it? Plus then when you click it you will see how they have it setup too. You could do that just for practice even, open up a theme that has one already all the way across, I'm sure some do, and then see how it's setup there to get a better feel of what needs to be setup for it. That's probably what I'll have to do to check it anyways, so you may as well do it too lol.

*Puts Bren to work* :P hehe

yea it only repeats within the bounds of the header. The question then is how do you expand the header. I think the only way to accomplish this is to set the background in two parts. The top part like the header and below that like how you want the rest of the background to look.

Thanks guys. I can't seem to find a theme that has one or I would be using it now... I hope CC bring some new wide screen themes out soon. :P

I've tried every theme today, and I worked out the other one I was thinking about buying won't work as I don't like the blue and will only be able to change the inside blue, not the blue sides, so that ruled that out.

I thought I'd try from scratch, but I see "head wall". :D

I do like the theme (if it's a default theme) in this site, but I can't seem to find it. It doesn't spread across the page, but the background is so beautiful it doesn't matter.

Ahh well then maybe we need some input from Scott here as to how they did that? What say you Scott? You out there in Themeland? :P

From what I can deconstruct it is nothing more than a page background image 40 x 175 px, residing the swag shop styler folder.
