I want to add subcategories to my shop and looking for a SCD Pro template that allows the subcategories to appear or cascade when hovering over a category. I believe I have seen this on some templates with the navigation on top. My current site uses a template with the navigation on the left. Has anyone used a template that supports this functionality with the navigation on the left? Or is it possible to modify my existing template?

Just add the Subcategory and it should show.:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

The template I am using appears to only support a static link for subcategories. If I add 3 subcategories to each of my categories, the navigation tree on the left side will be too long. I need to modify my current template or find an existing template that allows for cascading subcategories that only appear when you hover over the category.

This is a fairly popular request and has been discussed before, as you can read here.

As the OP of this thread mentioned, the desired action is available on a couple of the top-navigation templates, but not for the left-side-navigation ones. I don't know if any of the newer templates have added this functionality, and I would hope that the boys & girls at CC make us aware of it should they happen to release such a template! :)

Thanks for your input. Anyone else know if this capability exists in any template or does anyone have the knowledge to modify existing templates?

Hi Craig,

Love your site. Was wondering, was it all created in the CC Designer & Creator?
How did you get all the links and pics centered on your home page ect?

cheers

Jason

Is this want you want with your categories?

That site was posted in another thread with a form issue, and it looks like it is using the Fantastic theme.

Don't hold me to it though, as I haven't used the theme myself. :D

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
