I have a website that I'm working on that serves as our pesticide logging resource. It's responsive and I use more pages with less content that is specific to the task. This keeps page length to a minimum and content focused on the task at hand. The form builder is the backbone of this site with 30 + forms. This saves us several hours a week keeping track of pesticide applications and we are able to access the data from anywhere.

I'm sorry Eric when I read out "our pesticide logging resource" I laughed out loud, I don't know why, just sounded funny. That sounds like a big undertaking even if you are cutting stuff down, 30 + forms man that is something. Good luck with that

Were required by law to log pesticide application made to crops. I have an Excel application that is awesome but the data isn't available to every user at anytime. Placing this online with a responsive site makes it easy to see on small screens thanks to the form builder.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

I just took a look at the site on my Huawei U9200 (I had previously checked it out on the desktop - it is a nice site) and it is pretty dense with text. Had to focus in pretty far to read anything much and then of course much much scrolling horizontally as well as the normal vertical scrolling. This was with phone in vertical position, better in the horizontal position.

Take the above with a grain of salt as I would never actually use your, or anyone's site seriously on my phone, certainly not if it involved money. Too old and a diehard desktop user. :)

Not your full website Steve! That's fine! It's just the mobile site at the smallest setting. I have to really thumb down to read everything, and on the mobile I really don't WANT to read everything. Just give me the bullet points and contact info. That's all I look for on my phone, else I'll punch up the full website on my PC.

Well I can't really tell people to visit the website version since it is the same as what they are viewing. Maybe Ill try a really simple layout at the breakpoints of a smart phone. Then I will have a not on there somewhere to see more details visit from a desktop. Im going to try a few things and check report back here when I want you to check again. Thanks guys for the input its really valuable.

I could be confused. I thought as you scaled down you could hide certain rows and content?? That's all I'm talking about. Just don't show me everything when I'm on the phone. Just the important stuff.

Yes I think I know exactly what you mean. Instead of the content when it gets to the breakpoints of a smartphone size Im going to hide most of the content and just have descriptive buttons to press unhide. That will take them to the page with more information.
