Hey I just received this in the mail:

The Whole Enchilada: The Responsive Design Pack

Save a massive $100 on the 9 most popular apps for email and website design. Email Designer, Site Designer, Form Builder, Bootstrap Builder, Foundation Framer, Layout Maker Pro, Color Palette Manager, and Content Slider!

My question is for the email designer specifically. Is it now off the subscription plan?

Hey Steve,

The Responsive Design Pack includes Responsive Email Designer for Business (V1).

.....but as an extra bonus you will get a year of Mailer for no extra charge so that you can try out RED V2. :)
Learn the essentials with these tips on Site Designer. You'll be making epic, code-free responsive sites like a boss.

And the $299/year price on RED v2?
ASK ME ANYTHING

Did you know that Web Form Builder can be used for both simple and complicated forms and that it's not limited to the default fonts and buttons? Take a look at a form we developed for WindowTinting.com.

$299? That's nearly a threefold price increase! Time to start looking for another solution, I guess. :(

True. I find the whole thing completely misleading as well. There's no mention at all about RED1 ... just RED. But suddenly you'd get disappointed as soon as you unpack your zip file ... with a friendly note "have fun with the old software, you'd have to cough up another 300 bucks yearly if you want the current version and you'll get a service you didn't and don't want to apply for for free!".

I was completely moving my stuff towards Coffeecup software, but the basic limitations of RSD2 at one hand and the obscene pricing of RED2 at the other keeps me seriously off using it al together commercially. As soon as RED2 is disconnected from the Mailer service and a fair upgrade pricing from RED1 -like RSD1 to RSD2- is available I will immediately buy a licence. But for now? No, absolutely not.

I love what RED does and how easy it is to create great HTML email with it, but I only need it for 2-3 times a year. That would equate to about $100 per email just for the design. Ouch! That's way too much for me. I will be looking for another solution for my HTML emails. I don't need storage space for images or help with getting the email out. All I need is help to design an HTML email so it works reasonably well on most email devices.
