Is the CC rcs a good option for creating a photo gallery? What is the best way to achieve a responsive gallery? For my job I am required to put together several galleries per year (each contains about 200 images).

I would say RCS would not really be suitable for that, especially if you are wanting thumbnail images for your visitors to select a larger image (in addition to having the slider automatically change.

I think jquery Lightgallery is awesome and the most responsive on mobile. Fancybox3 is a very very close second. Both can be customized from within RSD, Foundation Framer, and Bootstrap Builder without using a html element. (They both will require a simple script though if you are using the thumbnails to display in the presentation mode).
Bootstrap 5 CSS Grid.

Although I have never used Lightgallery myself, I do know that if Twinstream says its awesome then it will be, & I do know many use it,, The problem I can foresee is so many images in the gallery, I have never done more than 50 images in one gallery (with or without thumbnails) I have one which I sort of combined to try and get the best of both worlds,, but it needs setting up outside of RSD first, then placing in RSD (Images & JS scripts etc) I would be inclined to have a look at Twinstreams suggestion first (I am going to look also for future reference, I have an example of the one I did up & running on a temporary site I am helping out with (http://foundation-framer-tutorials.website) which you can look at if Lightgallery doesn't fit the bill.

Good Luck

Have to put the obligatory link to my own coffee-cup created website:

Although not using slider on that one, however I've used it on my latest creation:

As far as I am concerned coffee cup software is the best!

The two sites are spectacular

@Twinstream, Thanks. I'm liking Fancybox3. I've downloaded the source to play around with. :)

It's a shame CC hasn't completed their Gallery software. I saw a few posts from back in 2015 saying they were working on a responsive setup. I guess I'll keep my eyes on their product lineup.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
