I just downloaded the newest HTML Editor and can't seem to get the 'visual editor' tab working. I'm using XPproSP2
When I did the install, I didn't go through the admin account and always get a "no such interface supported" error. If I attempt to 'run as' administrator, I get a "markup data folder does not exist" error. I've tried shutting off my AV and firewall and it doesn't seem to help - receive same error message.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Chris

Hiya Chris,
It's not an issue it's a preference setting, maybe this thread will help and be sure to heed the warnings:

Chris, when you say you can't get the visual tab working, does that mean that you already have enabled it through the preferences but it's not working? In that case you'd better contact CC support.
Also, if you have html5 set as your default doctype, that will not work in the visual mode, but you should get a warning about that if you try.
It shouldn't be necessary to run as admin on an XP system, unless you otherwise are using your machine as a limited or guest user (but then you wouldn't have been able to install a programme).
Regarding your Windows version, you ought to update to SP3, which is still supported by Microsoft. SP2 is no longer supported.

Do those instructions in the article fix XP problems too? I thought they were just for Vista and Win7...

This will actually be the first time I have seen an XP user report this, but the path for the Markup folder location for Windows XP is now on that article.

Thanks for the replies. One point I'd like to make is that after having read through a thread or two on this error, I found something indicative of running in administrator mode so I did. That's when I received the "markup data folder does not exist" error. When I run in power user mode, I do not get the markup data error but DO get the attached error. So I'm off to work now but back for more reading tonight. :-) Thanks everyone.
You just have all sorts of issues on that XP box.
