I open my php files on my pc with the html editor.:) Right click or left click.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Step 1. Turn on pc.
Step 2. Browse to a directory with a php file.
Step 3. Click on the file.
Step 4. Sit back and watch how the editor magically launches with the wanted file in view.
I may have skipped a few steps but i think you get the general idea.;)

I use it all the time however I also use Wamp/localhost to preview and test scripts. I use that multi program loader I sent you to open all the files that maybe used, folders too. Saves time.

Thanks Prism, I think there's some confusion between opening and previewing.;)
I don't preview my php files with the editor as it doesn't work. I use WAMP, like you, to do that if I don't have a internet connection.:D

This is what I also do, but it only worked after I had set the Editor to be the default program to open php files...

on windows XP I was never able to make it... did all the steps that were mentioned on other support topics... coffecup doesn't even appear on the list of available programs to open the PHP files so that I can edit them (even after I browse to the hidden directory where it installs itself now and choose it to open the files - checking the ALWAYS USE THIS SOFTWARE TO OPEN THIS TYPE OF FILE doesn't work!)

BTW: I don't want to preview the files, I want to EDIT THEM!

(BTW: WHERE IS MY POST? the one I made to start the topic?! oh... seems like people around here don't like when people complain about a problem)

I was wondering the same thing. It's ok to complain:), but you really should ask for help to see if others have had any luck before you do so.;)

I have searched thru the forums and on the HELP... and none of the hints that were there were good enough to solve the problem...
and it is a lot easier to install a software that ALLOWS you to set the files to open/edit them with a simple right click (or have a FILE ASSOCIATION option inside the software)

damn... how I miss the old HOMESITE from Allaire...

You need to go and complain to Microsoft.;)
It's not a CC problem.:)
