In RFF and other programs the Grid size by default is set to 1200 px, is this the standard because of larger screen sizes? I know we can change the grid size but just wondering if most here using RFF keep it at the default setting anyway.

Nothings standard anymore because screen size is micro to almost infinite. Do what ever you think your design needs and looks it's best.

Ray, the grid width is always 'auto' and max-with is none. If you want to limit the width, you set it on the rows. In Foundation the default max-width on rows is 1200px, but you can set it wider or narrower if you want to. If you display a webpage on a large monitor (larger than the limitation you have set), there will be something left and right outside the rows. That is the grid. If you narrow the view of your monitor, first the grid outside the rows disappears, then the responsiveness of the rows kicks in, and the page will shrink according to your settings.
You can see this demonstrated on my honey site (1st in my signature). The rows are set with a max-width of 1400px. If you have a monitor showing wider than that, you will see the grid where the contents stop expanding.

Good morning Inger - Thats what I meant not the Grid the Row that is 1200 default ok will keep well enough alone then.
Eric if u also see this sorry meant Row not Grid.

My dog is home but he had a bad reaction to one of his meds and now looks like a Shar Pei.LOL
