I can see where this is heading... I also see why others in this thread went with one of your competitor's products.

It's not called "Ticket" on the page, it's called "My Support Room" but that should be pretty obvious :P

Once there the menu is on the right hand side that allows you to open a new topic (that would be a ticket)
@Scott: Might want to consider changing that line to Open a New Support Ticket? Topic sounds like you're going to make a post on the forums lol.

We are willing to help Raymond, but all I asked was you fill out a support ticket so we can look into this closer. We just need personal information from you that I don't think you want to post here.

And if it's worth anything, I don't have any of this delay issue you're having so opening a ticket with support is your best bet to make sure you have it setup correctly, or to make sure it's not a quirk in the program that hasn't been reported yet. Just because people post here doesn't mean they always open a ticket for support and the old addage stands true for software as well as anything else:

If they don't know it's broke (or in this case "what" is broke and how it is broke for you) then they can't fix it.

As you can see if you follow the thread, it doesn't have a single post in it where any of the people that posted put in a ticket for support. Doesn't mean they didn't mind you, but usually people will come back and say something after the fact to tell others what is wrong. With that missing you can only assume they complained about it here and went their merry ways with whatever they decided to use.

That's not a fault in CoffeeCups system at all, it's negligence on the user's side for not following through with the request to send in files and put in support tickets. They can't help you if you don't let them, pretty simple.

Open a support ticket and give them a chance to help you get it working right. Guaranteed that it will work right since it does for countless other users just fine. I've been using this program for years without any hitches, so it's most likely some simple little setting or issue they need to check.

Raymond

Is this still an issue for you? I just checked and I don't see that you have filled out a support ticket yet.

Still an issue for me (10 second delay for every FTP command using Direct FTP). I have purchased many of your products and have to say that in general, I am impressed with value of your products quality/price.

As for FTP applications, I am using Windows Explorer/Internet Explorer now (no delays and fast transfers).

I've posted this in the support topics area.

I am using 6.7 build 1808 with XP

I HAD problems, I get so frustrated and leave. I go to the html editor and the ftp worked there really well. I could not figure out what the heck was going on. Sorry Scott, I did not submit a support ticket. I did not use it that much as I primarily use the html editor and it's built in one...

ANYWAY....

I don't know if this has anything to do with it. But I just used the CCleaner to clean my registry and clean out temp files the other day. I was amazed how fast my computer is functioning and I don't have to wait on stuff. So I thought I give the ftp a try again. Remember I get frustrated and leave my computer it was slow.

I have my transfers set to only 2 transfers at a time. I think the default was 3?

I just did a test from the server of 200 images of various sizes. It took only 1.2 seconds per image averaged. It was so fast I could not believe it.

So then I did a reverse and timed from my hard drive to server and those same files took 3 seconds per image average. So it was slower going to the server then coming off the server.

But there is a huge improvement and I am not frustrated. I would also like to point out that my hosting company did do some work to my server last week. So I am not sure if it was the registry cleaning or what the hosting company repaired on my server.

I am tending to think it was my computer and it's clogged up registry problems. Only because if it was the hosting, then my other ftp access would of been slow too. But who knows it is a computer and they all think differently.

But if you are having problems, I suggest that you give ccleaner a whirl and see if it helps. It never hurts to try :) Specially if the other software works fine, maybe there is some conflicts in your registry concerning direct ftp.

Oh I should add that when I ran the cleaner for the windows/applications, it took out over 3200 files. My computer feels like its a new processor. I forgot how quick it can really be.

I have also looked in to this due to the amount of people having this issue. I would like to advise that anyone that has an issue with any of CoffeeCup Software should first see if there is an update available for the given application.

For you Raymond, I logged in as you and went to the downloads page and found that the majority of the software you have installed currently is probably outdated.:(

The best way to find out the build you are on is to go to Help->About and the information is there.

You can then check to see if you need to update by going to:
https://www.coffeecup.com/help/myproducts/
This will often tell you also, as the "Updates Available" is in green.

In my experience, issues such as this are generally fixed as soon as they arise. And a quick and easy solution is to make sure that the latest version is installed on your computer.

Doing this will also aid the support team to resolve your issue more quickly because we are not trying to reproduce an error that was fixed months ago.:)
