Upon restarting VSD after reboot, all my browsers are gone and I have to re add them. Anyone having a similar issue? I am on Windows 7 64 bit machine.
VSD "encountered an illegal argument"...
Several times now, I have had VSD give an error stating "Encountered an illegal argument". When this happens, I try to close out of the error message box and I can not. I also can not save anything or use any other features. Task manager won't even close out VSD. I have to restart computer and since no functions of VSD work, I lose everything I have done until that point.

Crux,
Do you have the latest version of VSD.
If not

If you do I would do as SirAGE suggest and open a support topic.

OMG It's Back!
Several of us have dealt with this – there's a few threads scattered around the forums about this.
I will say, it's been rare for me since the last update. But I would suggest saving often just in case. Also, since the last update, I've been able to get rid of the warning box by hitting the Escape key several times – better than having to CTRL-Alt-Delete and losing changes.
Try to remember what you were doing right before the warning popped up, make note of it in your support ticket.

OK, the love is starting to disappear as of now. Yes I have the latest VSD version Rolly. Now after putting in 20-30 minutes worth of work, I get a "VSD has stopped working" message and the thing shuts itself down! Work gone. This happened before a while ago with the previous version but it seemed to disappear after running as admin. My present build 24 is running as admin with XP Service pack 2 compatibility. What is a more impolite term for annoyed? That's the word you can insert here. I love the CC forums but I am not having love right now for the program.

It could be Windows DEP is causing some issues. I would suggest turning that off, rebooting and then see if VSD plays nicer with your operating system.

I now this may be a stupid question Scott, but wouldn't VSD have been developed so that DEP, UAC or any other Win feature would work with the program so as not having to shut down security systems that have been designed into the OS?

Well you could say the reverse. Shouldn't Microsft develop an operating system that played well with all programs?
It really is a case by case thing. Some systems I have never had to use Run as Administrator or even touch DEP or UAC. Just one of those things Windows users have to deal with all the time.
