In case you're referring to the suggestion to try out the Web Image Studio, I think you lost me there for a moment.
I don't think the use of a suitable auxiliary program, such as WIS e.g., would conflict with the concept of VSD. Never hurts to widen ones horizons a bit now and then... ;)

Yes, if you're referring to the WIS, I'm sorry if I'm over complicating. There is no html, or any other extra skills needed.

I know Greg purchased the big mega pack with WIS in it, so I thought why not use it to make a much nicer heading for his site. He gets use out of another of his programs, and gets nice images too. :)

If I knew he didn't have that program already, I wouldn't have suggested it.

I have mentioned on a couple or several posts on this thread topic about trying to use the CC website font application but you people have chosen on each of those occasions selectively some how not to respond to those posts of mine. It was recommended on this thread that try out the advanced text application on VSD that that is the way to go so I followed that suggestion and then had a one and one half week long drawn out process of dealing with that. then there is all of this why not do this or why not do that well I say why not suggest this or that in the first place
I am addressing the website font application problem again, I made up some headings but could not read the pdf file instructions and figure out how to get them to work on the site cannot figure out which files to load up where and how to get the html code onto the pg with the vsd program as per adding it as an html snippet The instructions do not tell you well enough how to load the snippet onto the pg and get it to where you want it on the pg file
But all of the website font controversy has come up as an after thought while trying to deal with the advanced font issues with VSD
Then after getting all of the advanced fonts up on all of the pgs it is pointed out to me that they do not have the alternate text and that needs to be there so I go through lots of time fixing that
Then afterthat is fixed it is pointed out to my why did you not do this or why did you not do that I am asking why did you not suggest this or that in the first place
I will try and start implementing better text practices on the pgs on future new pgs
then I may go back and improve the current pgs.

For the life of me I do not see how I will ever finish the site if I keep going on these long wild goose chases. I do understand that the way that one learns how to use software is by actually using it, so I have been doing allot of that lately
One big problem I have been having is getting the revisions uploaded and rendering properly. Seems that it is an endless process of uploading checking finding problems and fixing. I will make the changes and upload the changes on the pgs that have been revised and check and then all kinds of new problems pop up in other pgs seems that the VSD makes changes on many pgs that have not been changed necessarily. It may go and change image file names on all kinds of pgs from just a couple of small changes on one page may result in having to go and make changes to gobs of pgs
Anyway I have been finding lately that one little simple change can result in having to spend allot of time fixing the whole site. So I am more likely now to think about and talk about and read about making any new changes before I actually start making them so as to avoid all of this fixing of the way the whole site is rendering from the server.

Yes Greg, I read how you were having a lot of problems with the VSD font, and why I suggested you use the other program you already have, and will solve all of these issues. Once you have chosen font in the other program, it literally takes around 2 - 3 minutes to do a text image. ;)

I also offered to do one, and I'll do more for you if you like, and upload them here, or email them, and you can simply "add image", or "insert image" (I can't remember now). This is only to try and help you build the best looking site you can with your CC software.

I can't do more than that. :)

My uploading site changes problems are probably arising from my not using the VSD to upload the changes I have been using the CC direct FTP for that and when I make a change there could be 15 changes going on within the VSD pg files and I am just uploading the one that I made then I go online or to the site to find that it is rendering all kinds of problems. So I guess that the way to solve that problem is to start uploading site changes with the VSD instead of the Direct FTP.

Bren, were all trying to help Greg, and were conflicting, I ONLY USE VSD

Could you do as you suggested, convert a text image using WIS (which i cant do)

And within a few minutes, i can upload it into a VSD webpage, onto my server

Then put a link to it here

That way we can all confirm if your idea works, or if VSD converts it to a background again

Sure, what do you want the text to say?

And you can download a free 30 day trial Viv. It is a great program. :)

Greg, Why dont you, run a dummy site from scratch using inbuilt ftp in VSD

Yourdomain.com/testsite1

use that one for modifying and testing, when your finished delete everything in your main domain address and upload it in one go.

Also if you are getting blurred messed up images and text all over the place, after uploading, you need to refresh the page, ctrl f5 (possibly will do it) dependant on your brouser, as sometimes the changes are confused when they are in your pc cash ( i think thats what its called) too techy for me.

Not confuse anyone anymore then already happened, but I would suggest if your uploading the one changed file with DFTP then you should also upload the files folder as well.....:)
