Ok, this is a bit complicated. I've been using VSD for several years (running XP SP2 and IE7). When using preview (both VSD browser & IE browser), a few months ago, I could no longer see the menu (CoffeeCup flash menu). (The only changes I can imagine are MS updates (which are not auto, I let it notify me and then download, but don't recall a matching time frame)). There was no Form Object, just a completely blank area where the menu should be. This happened on all 3 of the websites I write & manage. I uninstalled & reinstalled all CC software several times, no improvement.
I was having other issues with MS Word, etc. Around that time, we got another laptop which has XP SP3 & IE8. When I downloaded CC software, VSD browsing feature works perfectly on all 3 websites.
Reformatted & reinstalled everything on original laptop, upgrading to XP SP3 & IE8. Reinstalled CC software. Still cannot see the menu in preview in VSD browser or IE browser.
Just recently, decided to install CC on fiance's desktop running Vista & IE8. Also cannot see the menu, just like on my original laptop.
Any suggestions??? I'm really confused. Was going to replace "old" laptop until seeing that it doesn't work on new desktop, either! Help!
Thank you so much; I really love CC software and want to keep using it without frustrations...

I don't have a clue here, but until someone comes along that might have an idea - just thought I'd ask - do you have the latest updates/versions for all your CC software?

Yes, I've downloaded all the recent updated CC software. I mainly use VSD, Flash Menu Builder, Direct FTP, Flash Form Builder, Photo Gallery.
Another thing I noticed is that I can preview the forms built by Flash Form Builder and the Photo Gallery pages.

I figured that would be one of the first things that gets asked, so that's out of the way
If you could put up a link to your site, that might help someone to get to the bottom of this.

Hard to make any suggestions based upon the information you've provided.
If these are "live" websites, why not share their urls so that we can take a look and report on what we see?

Have you uploaded the swfobject? You must have this uploaded in the same file where the flash will appear.

The websites are great, I haven't uploaded anything to them from the computers that are the problem. So, there is really nothing to see. Here are the links, though, in case I'm missing a connection...

As I said, the websites live are fine, the problem is only with the preview feature of VSD on 2 of 3 computers. There must be some software glitch on those 2 computers. Since the live sites are fine, all the files are loaded into the proper folder on the live servers. The swfobject files are loaded both in the VSD directory on the computers and also on the live websites. I copied the files directly from the "bad" computer to the computer that is working perfectly, so all the files are in exactly the same folders on all 3 computers.
Thank you all for your help!

How are you adding the flash objects into VSD?
Flash tool or html tool? I know silly question but....
and are the flash objects files in the "add files" or "remove files" area?

I use the flash tool.
I thought the add files feature was to add the files to the ISP server? I can see them just fine on the live internet. The files already exist in the VSD directory created for the flash files. The VSD directory has the following files: Menu.html, Menu.swf and Menu.xml. They are all located in the same folder on my computer that all the other VSD files are saved in. Again, this is only a problem in the VSD preview function. The live sites are just fine from a previous good upload and can easily be worked on from the one "good" computer I have (i.e. good means VSD previews correctly for all features).
Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
