Hi, I've made this site recently test.nannerchgolf.com which is due to go live this weekend for a friend. She wants all of the photos to have a light shadow, but some are refusing to show it! All have the shadow in VSD, but some don't show it on preview or publication.

The affected pages are Conditions treated, about me, and Your treatment (bottom pic). Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Are you adding the shadow to the actual pic via a photo editor like photoshop, or are you asking vsd to provide the shadow for you? One problem under conditions treated is that the photo is black, that may hinder a shadow function. If you are using a photo editor try using a frame for the desired effect.

I used the VSD effect button, it worked on all the others!

Shadows don't seem to work with gif images. Try png or jpg.

Cary has the answer I'm sure. Must say that the site is very attractive. Well done

Thanks for the help!

Wow Janys, thank you! I don't know how everyone else feels, but when you create a site, first of all it's very exciting, and then the more work you do on it, it becomes boring, and you start to doubt how it looks! Thank you, your compliment is much appreciated.

Janet... have to admit that I squirmed a bit at some of the pictures! But apart from that which is a personal phobia... I found the whole colour scheme very relaxing and comforting. Clean layout.. nice.
:)
and yes... I know what you mean about loving it until you hate it kind of thing!

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
