I need some help. I want to take this site http://cbcr.org/newsite1/ and convert it so it is no longer a WordPress site. I already own RLM, RSD, RCS, Menu Builder, Form Builder and Foundation Framer, but I have actually only used Menu Builder and Form Builder. I have only made one website and that was before I had CoffeeCup software and the only CoffeeCup software used for it is Form Builder.

We are a small dog rescue, and everyone is a volunteer. I was going to replace the current website with a responsive website, but never found the time to get that done. The website is now being done by a different volunteer who has a web building background and is going to make a responsive website. http://cbcr.org/newsite1/ is the proposed new website. I am okay with the design, but not the responsiveness of it. I know if I can redesign it using CoffeeCup software it will be so much better. I wish I could afford to pay for a new website myself, but I don't think I can afford that, so I need to sit down and learn this stuff.

Where do I start? I already have the forms made using the new design, so one tiny part is done. The other thing is it needs to be able to be maintained by someone that does not have CoffeeCup software, especially since it may be maintained by several people. The pages with dogs on them, obviously, need to be changed all the time. It would be easiest if on the individual dog pages the person could just copy a page and replace the relevant information with information about the new dog.

Thanks,
Dee

You don't need to worry about others having the Coffee Cup products. Look into a small CMS (Content Management System).
You can wrap certain page code areas with the CMS code to make those sections editable.
The person doing the editing would login online to make changes/edits. Most provide a simple user interface, some are even drag & drop. There are free, one time price and subscription options.

I'd dig into Foundation Framer if it were me. I think Foundation is a great framework and using the CC product will cut the learning time while exposing you to lots of usable features.
I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by. (Douglas Adams)

I think perhaps I will start by seeing what I can do with RCS since I know we will need slideshows. Then after that I can look at FF.

Of course, since I posted this, the new design went live and the above link is incorrect now. The site is at http://cbcr.org. All the missing photos and broken links are killing me. Hopefully it won't take her long to fix them.

If you mean when do I hope the current webmaster to have fixed the current website, I hope it is done already. It is suppose to be anyway. If you found anything that is broken, please let me know and I will pass the information along to her.

If you mean when do I hope to have created a new website, at the rate I am going, it will take forever. We are all volunteers so there is always the risk that someone will leave and someone else will have to take over the job. A volunteer once offered to take on the responsibility on a temporary basis and ended up doing it for five years!! That is part of the other reason I would like to have a new website ready to go in case the volunteer doing it now leaves. I would rather learn CoffeeCup software than WordPress.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
