Hi all,

I am curious about the pros and cons of having a parallax website since it is not responsive? Are they any way that Google can recognize that I have a mobile version of this site because right now it doesn't recognize it.

Thx a bunch :)

Parallax design can be responsive, just check out this site: http://code-cafe.com/simple/parallax-bg/
CoffeeCup also has themes that come with RSD (Responsive Site Designer), which have the parallax effect. If you have used a parallax theme that is not responsive, you must have been ill advised.

Your other question: I made once, in the 'old days' a site with a flash banner, and when Google wanted us to go responsive, the site owner wanted to keep the flash, so I made a different site for small screens without flash. In the head of all the original pages I put in a line like this:
<link rel="alternate" media="screen" href="../mobile/de/index.php" >
The 'index.php' of course had to be changed to the file name of the actual page.
Google hasn't complained, and the site is showing up in the Google webmaster tools as responsive.
Ha en riktig god dag!
