In Form Builder the maximum number of adjacent fields (Text fields anyway) is 5. That is, if I set their width to 20%, the lowest available, I can only have 5 fields side-by-side.
I have a need for a form with 18+ adjacent fields. Each field will only need to store/display 3 characters, so there is plenty of screen space available to do this.
Here's a screenshot of a mockup of what I'm talking about, a grade sheet entry form. http://www.apecity.com/images/gradesheet-example.gif
It seems the limit of 5 is pretty arbitrary. It also seems the minimum setting of 20% is arbitrary. Since in HTML I can set the width of an element to any % or px value, I don't understand why Form Builder has this restriction.
Anyway, this is one limitation of the software that makes it not work for me. Can someone show/explain how I've missed something?
Thanks!

You haven't missed a thing. CC's approach is to make bullet proof applications for users that know nothing about coding to be able to put up a great looking site with minimal effort and time. This approach allows them more time for building better and better apps as their not continually doing tech support for an app that users don't understand. I wonder how many calls Microsoft gets in a day.
CC is dedicated to making their apps be what you want them to be. The best thing to do is to make a suggestion in the suggestion thread.

I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Just a thought but you could fit more than one form per page. You may be able to tackle it that way. To get a spreadsheet entry would require a manual approach. It is what Eric says the WFB is a universal program.
It would not be difficult to set up a form like that. I would use the html editor it has form elements as inserts so you would be well on your way. However you would have to create the post action script to handle the entry and logic. Something the WFB does in the background.
