I have built a few simple sites over the years but mostly now use Wordpress. I have a client who wants something simple, no need for a CMS and probably not interested in ever updating the site himself. I was thinking that maybe something more versatile and robust in the long term would be a simple static site with the information that he needs. No database etc.

Is the Visual Site my answer? Is there a way to demo is before ordering?

Also, I generally use css/html templates for things like drop down menus, does this package provide a solution?

And, CSS - are there CSS pages now or all on page styles?

Cheers

Jon.

If your using VSD you can't edit webpages built with another editor.:) VSD creates it's own special code to make it a WYSIWYG editor and if it could open other webpages it would totally break the markup.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Dan, what Coffeecup product are you using (Visual Site Designer, HTML Editor, Shopping Cart Creator...)? Each program has it's own help guide and there are how-to articles here - Go to Support (menu at top of forum page) and select Support Articles. There are also many videos on You Tube.

Jon, Either the HTML Editor or Visual Site Designer (VSD) would work. The Editor has a CSS menu creator included. VSD does not have the menu creator, but it is very easy to add menus and other items to VSD - just use the HTML tool to add snippets of code, scripts, etc. Also, both programs come with some default templates and there are many more available for purchase (cheap!) in the CC store.
You can get a free trial of any CC programs you're interested in - so take them for a test run and see what you think :D
