I have an mp4 video that I added to my website. When I preview in Firefox from CoffeeCup, it plays. However, when I uploaded to the Internet via my host space, I get an error message in both Internet Explorer and Firefox.

Any ideas what could be causing this? I think my code is correct. Thanks so much!

That is so strange...I uploaded it to the media folder on the server. I'm not sure why it's saying it's missing.

Is the file name correct. No uppercase?

Check the file case and make sure it is all lower case.

It's all lowercase. The only thing I could think of is that the server may not support mp4 files. I'll try converting to another file type and see if that helps. Do you think that's a possibility?

Thank you!

I wouldn't think that would be it. A 404 means the file is simply not there. If they did not support media files, you would get a 500 server error.

I found out that the issue was with the server I'm uploading to. My video now plays but I noticed that in Internet Explorer, when I play the video, there's not a bar running horizontally across the video where you can see how far the video has played and rewind/fast forward. When I make the video full screen, the bar appears. I'm not sure what's causing this.
