Hello All,
I downloaded the free version of Coffee Cup text editor this morning ( 12/7/12 ) to update my files to my website and I am not sure if I did it correctly. I had several broken links in my notepad editor but fixed them. How long before my files are uploaded to my website? I updated my style.css file, vars.php, header.php file and my footer.php files. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, Rob.

The files are usually uploaded immediately. You can clear your browser cache and reload the page to see if the updated files are there.

If they are not there, you'll have to check if you uploaded them to the right place. Servers very often have a folder called public_html or www, webdocs or similar to where the files have to be uploaded in order to be displayed on the web. If you don't see any such folder, my guess is that you are in the correct folder right from the start.

Anyway, you have to check the settings for the ftp client, maybe also use a standalone ftp client to log into your server to take a look and see if your files are there.
Ha en riktig god dag!

I would agree with Inger on the browser cache. ctrl + f5.
I have a client with a server that doesn't update css files quickly. I've waited hours for them to get applied. I had a lot of stress in my life until I figured that one out.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
