Just got this reply from Scott in support
"That is one of the things we are working on in VSD update and has been addressed in the beta we are testing now."
Should not be long before the update, But not sure how updates work on trial software,
This is very new release still with a few issues and tweeks hopefully support will let you know how to update the trial if its possible

Yes paintbrush, they don't do either of those things.

Thanks Jewelcraft. That's too bad though, I need this site done soon, and I've found a few other bugs which makes me kind of hesitant on buying the full version

I have been beta testing this prior to it going on sale, there is a text shifting issue which they have dealt with, and one other minor issue these should both be sorted hopefully next week, i think from the support i have received.
I am hoping as Scott has been made aware of this thread he will drop a message in when the update is due

Of course. We always release trial versions and registered versions at the time.

Don't give up on it yet - some of us have had no problems at all (knocks on wood), and the CC team is working as fast as they can to correct the bugs.
Vasco, could you try removing your blue background image PNG and see if that makes any difference? Sometimes text can act funny when it's layered over an image. Also, VSD7 will let you have a page background separate from what shows in the browser window (under page settings>page background), no coding required as in VSD6. This avoids the problems that come with having a large image "floating" over the page instead of an actual page background.

Thanks, I'll try that. I've noticed on some pages created with vsd that the text positions get messed up in Firefox, although they seem ok in Internet Explorer. I hope that's part of the bug fixes

I'd just like to say that I tried the December 19th update, and it seemed to have fixed the issue, until I saw the site on another PC, and had basically the same problem. The fonts seemed a bit bigger, maybe that has to do with the issue. Sometimes the text goes outside of the bounds I intended it to be within.

This is really a shame, since besides this problem I really enjoyed using VSD, but I don't think I can use it if I can't even trust on where the text appears

Is there another update planned soon that would fix this issue?
