Whenever I try Test in Browser with IE8, I get a Chrome message asking me if I want to save or open the file. Selecting Test in Browser using Chrome causes nothing to happen at all. I've restarted, re-downloaded with Down Them All, installed and ran as administrator (bad idea) and nothing worked. Ideas or suggestions?

My suggestion that you first of all tell us which CC programme you are trying to test in a browser. There are about 30 of them, so some more information would help.

Firstly you definitely need to let us know what software as Inger already said, and secondly, there are a lot of softwares you will need to set to Run As Administrator when on ht 64 Bit version of Windows 7. Not all of course, but many programs you'll find just don't want to work right until you do. Nothing wrong with that nor is it a bad idea unless you got issues with others on your computer. :)

Matt, I just came to think about something since you say you have this open and save question. Are you trying to preview a page with .php extension? php files can't be viewed locally unless you have some kind of server (like WAMP or XAMP) installed. Without those you have to upload such files in order to view them.

Sorry for not responding sooner. I'm talking about the HTML Editor. I have tried running as administrator and that didn't work. I started getting an error about the markup folder not existing and tried the fix at http://www.coffeecup.com/help/articles/ … ist-error/ but that caused the application to hang. There may be some other problem with IE8 since it only displays the source code when I use browser preview in Expression Web.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
