Hi I have just downloaded this trial and I was wondering if I'm missing something as I cant see how to create the Subcategories section it displays on the website.
Get Organized With Subcategories. Create categories within categories, and easily give your store an added level of organization. Shopping Cart Creator Pro even builds the navigation menu for you automatically!

or do I have to purchase the pro version to get this if so what was the point of advertising this on the website?

Hiya D4,

The Categories and Subcategories display automatically, there's nothing you need to do for that to work it works by design. If you haven't put any products in your subcategory though that may be why it's not showing up. I believe there needs to be a product in a cat or sub for it to show up. Let us know if that's the issue or if you have items there and it's still not showing up.

Also check to make sure you have that cat or sub set to show by checking the little blue world icon on the sub or cat to make sure it's blue. When it's blue it's active, when it's grey it's set to be inactive and will not show.

Hope that helps :)

Hiya D4,

It just dawned on me that you are trialing the Basic version and that version does not have sub categories. The Pro version is the one that has the sub categories, give that version a trial and see if that does it for you. It is definitely much better than the basic version and has a whole lot more features than the basic. You can see the comparison chart on the Cart pages if you scroll down a bit:

Good luck with it :)

SCC basic is good for someon with a sideline selling a few similar products

Any serious seller needs the PRO version, and its worth buying from day 1

Pro is NOT an upgrade from basic
