I have tested my email and it works really well.
Now I am trying to send it to a list I created per the instructions in the manual.
I want to now send the email to this list - but I keep getting the unable to send email notification.
I am able to send the same email to individuals - but when I choose my list of 66 people - it is unable to send. No settings have changed etc.
Is there a number limit on the lists - can it only send to a certain amount of emails at a time?
Please let me know what I need to do to get this email sent to my list - I have over 200 names to send this to so I really need to figure this out.

Who are you using as your SMTP server? Are you using Gmail, Yahoo, MSN etc? Each one has some limits as to the amount you can send.

Also, sending up to 200 should not be done with RED. You will need to export your email and send through an ESP like MailChimp or Mandril. Both offer free accounts and it is very easy to setup.

SMTP is Yahoo

What is the limit with them? Should this info be included in your manual?

Is red just a program to create the emails - not necessarily to send emails?

What is the process for sending an email through mail chimp?

RED allows you to test your emails and send to lists for testing purposes. In a production environment, you really should be using a sending service like MailChimp or Mandrill.

You would export your email to an HTML file in RED and then through your MailChimp account, you can import that HTML file and send it to your customers.

OK so - I have the email exported onto my desktop -
I have an mail chimp account and they give me 3 choices for uploading a campaign/email
PASTE IN CODE
IMPROT FROM ZIP
IMPORT FROM URL

What do I do with this? Do I need to upload all of this to a URL? Can I do that through drop box?

This is very complicated - compared to what you guys advertise!

You can do all 3. It is up to you. That is how flexible things are with RED! ;)

The easiest one probably would be PASTE IN CODE. After you export email, you will see this screen:

Click "Copy the code". That is what you will then paste into MailChimp.

You might want to read Chapter 6 of the Quick Start Guide as this is also covered there as well.
