Time is winding down for me. I have a question:

I am getting emails regarding payment for S-Drive services. I have build my website and need to purchase the VSD software with the photo gallery like really soon. Are they one in the same?

Does one have to purchase the S-Drive in order for the site to operate properly? What happens once I purchase the software? My church is already owner of our own domain and I am sure they pay a fee to maintain such. Once purchasing the software, will it prompt me to look for our domain so that it will connect? I am new to this so please bare with me. Not quite understanding S-Drive or if it is needed in order to keep the site I build.

I will be checking back so that I can proceed to purchase that VSD software. I have the website set up and would really hate to loose it.

No. They are 2 separate programs. VSD is used to create a WYSIWYG website while Photo Gallery is a program that creates really cool photo displays. Photo Gallery however is FLASH based and users with Apple products (iphone, ipad, etc..) will not see it. If you host on s-drive though, it will create an HTML based photo gallery.


No. Your site will work with the free s-drive, or you can upload it to any server of your choice. For the Photo Gallery to create an HTML gallery though, you will have to purchase and use the S-Drive service. The free s-drive will not create the html photo gallery.


Once you purchase the software, it is yours with lifetime free updates and upgrades. As for the domain...you can transfer your domain to CoffeeCup or not. Either way you go with it, a domain costs a little every year to renew. Usually under $20 but no matter where you get your domain, there will be a fee to purchase and a fee to renew every year. Some services offer multi-year domain renewal at a discount. So the longer you renew for, the cheaper it is.


Not really, although it is easy to set up. If you are already using the free trial of VSD then I believe once you install the full unlocked version your settings for s-drive should still be there. If not, it is easy to re-enter the s-drive settings that you are already using.
