Remote Server Access - Post ID 206892
I see how to upload a webpage to the remote server but is it possible to view and download a webpage from the remote server to my local server? In other words from my internet hosting company to my local computer?
Also, is a left and right set of arrows above the list of files on my computer, can you tell me what they are for? I have attached a screen shot of what I'm talking about, circled in red.
Thanks.

checking into those arrows right now, they don't show up for me so I'm not sure what that is. It looks like you are, but I'll as anyways if you're on the most recent version or not?
Mark, you can download files from the web server to your computer if you have a FTP programme, like Direct FTP from CC.
If you are using the HTML Editor, then go to File - Open from Web.
I haven't seen those arrows before...

Those arrows are for the remote server tab. Your display dimensions are too small for both of them to appear at once. That is why you have to arrow over to see them. If you increase either the size of the Editor or your resolution size, the tabs should then show.

I don't think I've ever seen that remote server tab. How do you get it to display?

hehe Inger, that's because you only recently started using the projects (well if you actually are using it and maybe just checked them out before).
In order to see that other tab, you need a project setup with a full connection to FTP setup in the HTML Editor. Then when you are in a project both tabs will show up for you and you can then swap easily between local and server tabs

Well as Scott said, it might have to do with the size of your display dimensions so if yours are bigger then you wouldn't see that. Yep we definitely gotta get with you on projects so you can see the benefit of it all.
Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
