I am very new to web designing forum. I have a website which is in designing phase but there are some basics doubt which i would like to clear.

1. Does web designing helps to increase out targeted customer.
2. What if we have a similar design and layout. Does this have any impact on user behavior.
There are many websites which have similar kind of design and layout so how does this impact on google search.

Aaron, you need to clarify a bit. 'Web designing' is the action of creating the look and feel of a site. Without a design, a site would look rather poor, I think.

Or are you asking about a programme? Coffeecup has VSD (Visual Site Designer), which has recently been discontinued and replaced by RSD (Responsive Site Designer). Are you asking about one of those?

Similarity in design and layout between sites happens, but Google and the other search engines don't just look at that, they will scan your meta tags, your contents, your images' 'alt' tags and much more.

Website design and targeting your customers is two different things.

Like Inger said, your website 'design' can look like another website but should have no effect on Google rankings.

Your 'unique' content and keywords will have a huge impact on whether your customers can find you and this will effect your Google rankings.

The web design should target the desired customers.
Just look at the difference between online gaming sites and government services websites.
Also, if the site's design looks out of date (or non-responsive on mobile devices), it will put off users.
Poor color choices, too small fonts, text too light, innapropriate fonts, huge slow-loading or blurry photos, illogical layout... these are all design issues that can put off your desired audience.

As long as your customers/users don't confuse your site with a competitor, it should be fine. Since WordPress/Bootstrap became so popular, there are thousands of sites that look pretty much the same. Make sure you're content is excellent – on subject, well-written and useful to your targeted audience.

Designing is the front end part of the website. It mainly focuses on site looks and how the customers interact with it.
Development is of two types: front-end (visual design of a website) and back-end (programming)

Every user has its own perspective. A Professional Website Development Company doesn't mind if they have a competitor that has a similar kind of design. But creativity is not dead make a new one.
