I think were looking at a host issue because if I setup a login box on my pc to your protected page and preview it within Password Wizard it does the same thing. It stays on the same page. I really looked at your pages close for some code that might be off from copy and paste but they all look pretty much identical to mine. Try making a login box that points to a page that you haven't added the code to the head of the page. Any other page on your site. When you preview it in Password Wizard it should forward you to the page that you enter for the url. Lets see what this does to rule other things out.:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

My result: No Users Log in Screen.

I re-created the three necessary VSD 7 Build 24 pages, this time allowing the software to add the dot html.

After entering and completing Step 7, I then preview the three VSD pages.
1. Preview:

a. Each of the three pages will open but with an IE9 warning. The warning states IE restricted this web page from running scripts or ActiveX Control.
b. I have tried previewing the pages while “allowing blocked contents” and I have tried previewing the pages by ignoring the IE warning. The warning goes away in about 10 seconds. The results are the same in either case.
c. I will see a blank page on the Protect page.
d. I will see on the Login and Login2 pages, my graphic and a box that has a blue circle symbol in the upper right hand corner of the box. Clicking on the box does not open the box.

2. I then save the web pages.

3. Next, I then publish the web pages.

a. When I publish the web pages, I cannot find the 3 VSD pages.
b. My other pages and links seem to working.

4. Linking

a. I had some problems linking.
b. I did manage to place a link to and from the Protect Page by linking to the graphic that I placed on this page. I linked the Protect page to the Login Page.
c. Again linking to the graphic on the page, I was also able to place a link on the Login2 page. On this page I linked Login2 to my home page.
d. I could not place any links to or from the Login Page.

Eric:

I have Password Wizard 6 Build 8: Does the following statement apply to my current version?:
Coffeecup Password Wizard Help
Version 6.0, March 2009
Under the title of Forcing Logins through the Password Page are these remarks:
Note: This workaround requires use of frames and JavaScript. If you are unfamiliar with frames, this article explains them in a thorough but easy to understand way. Because it utilizes frames, this workaround will not function if your Website was created with Visual Site Designer.

Hi Reality GDK
Maybe i can help you here.

In the structure where you save the VSD project you will se a file with the name you gave the project and a folder with a name just like it.
In the folder you can find not only the three files, but also the rest that needed for pages to run.
That's how it works for me.

I have trouble using the upload function in VSD so i'm using a ordinary FTP program

Hope this will help
Peter

Hi Eric

I think I'm stuck in the CCWP project so:

I dont know if you are the right person to ask, but I try anyway.

If I compare CCWP and CCWAM I find that the most significant difference is that CCWP protect a single page and CCWAM protect a folder or a area that I define. Is that correct or am I missing something.?

Would that be easier to use CCWAM than CCWP, because i think it's a very tricky construction I am on. Do I have to do anything with HTML code or flash etc. or is it just full speed ahead.?

I have checked the server facilities where I host my site. They are running a Debian on a Apache with PHP 5 , support for html 5 and Mysql. That should do the trick for CCWAM. But what do I need on my PC, I'm running win 7 Ultimate.

If I can make this work for me, whitout needing the constant help, which I appreciate :D. I'm going to bye VSD and CCWAM. Is this a good combination or should I do something different.

A lot of questions, hope you can find the time to answer or point me to the right person to do it.
Thanks Peter

Every page would need the html code added to the head of the page. So it's not really the Password Wizard protecting the page but the code you add to the page. Password Wizard just gives you a system for you to control who can see the pages.
Implementing this shouldn't be that difficult and I think were getting close to solving the mystery to why yours behaves like it does. The basic setup works. Your using an external ftp and that maybe the problem as if a file is out of place the use of frames is going to make it hard for me to see. Why aren't you using VSD's built in ftp?

CCWAM is a great program and the best part is no flash so non flash compliant devices can use it.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
