A couple of months ago I downloaded a trial version of Visual Site Designer. Today I attempted to purchase the program and found out that Visual Site Designer has been discontinued. It has been 12 years since I created a website. I'm sure I have forgotten how to code in HTML! With programs such as Visual Site Designer (For Beginners!); I do not want to start off trying to code.

As you know, Visual Site Designer builds websites using absolute positioning. This means everything has a fixed place within the page and cannot be adjusted based on the viewer’s device size (desktop, tablet, mobile phone, etc.). Absolute positioning does not allow for a modern, fluid responsive design. That means your mobile users (almost 51% of all internet traffic today) are getting an unfriendly browsing experience on your website. Google also now gives priority ranking to websites that are device-agnostic. This mean you are going to lose page rank automatically because you don’t have a responsive website. For this reason, we have decided to discontinue Visual Site Designer. There will be no further updates to VSD and all support will end on January 1, 2016.
