Scott, please read my original posts. I followed the instructions exactly! Yes, I exported it, I cut and pasted the code and everything. I wish I could make a video showing it....

I attached a screenshot of what the preview looks like: http://www.flickr.com/photos/43326914@N06/

Depending on the way you setup your menu and your browser settings, it will not show in preview. You need to publish the page and view it online.

Nope, didn't work: http://matthewtesting.coffeecup.com/

There's the site I published to. Please watch the video... all the steps were followed to 100% accuracy.

The only step that wasn't in the video was upload option 1, but I did that as well. I copied the files into the folder that has the .VSD site in it. In this case, the file is called CSF.vsd

What am I doing wrong? Is the software defective?

All the CSS files are missing. Example:

You should also refrain from spaces in you file name. That can cause issues.

When you export, do not export to the _website folder. You export to your desktop and then copy the CONTENTS of that folder to the _website folder. That is a very important step.

I got it! I think those instructions should be a bit more clear. I did what was instructed in "Option 1"... however, I put them into the wrong folder.

I placed them right into the folder with the .vsd file in it. When one saves a .vsd file, in the same folder location as the .vsd file, a "my website_website" folder is created. That is the folder to which those items previously mentioned should be cut and pasted into.

If that were made clear, this thread wouldn't have happened! Thank you for your help, I appreciate the support. I think if there were something like this: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/dreamweaver … e_pt1.html

The coffeecup product would be much easier to learn! The help pdf leaves quite a lot of questions, and the only resource left are these forums, which are good, but are limited communication. Just my 2 cents as a brand new user.

You are doing things selectively. You simply move EVERYTHING in that folder to the VSD folder. If you read that article, that is mentioned with screenshots. Lots of them. ;)

Looks like you got it now because I see it. Good job! ;)

So I adjusted the colors of the menu to a blue background. I go and change the code in step 6 (i.e. http://www.coffeecup.com/help/articles/ … -designer/) and complete "option 1" in adding the files to my website folder. I click publish... and the old menu is still there! What is wrong?

You don't need to add the files to your site again as long as you saved the menu with the same name and it's in the same location as when you added it to your site. I recommend you place all files you add to your vsd site in a dedicated folder inside the Documents\CoffeeCup Software\Visual Site Designer folder.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

It was a matter of emptying the browser cache... Clearing the cookie history / browsing history did it. The browser was merely loading the old page off of memory.
