So I tried the menu builder, seems easy enough. I followed the steps exactly as shown here: http://www.coffeecup.com/help/articles/ … -designer/
When I click preview, no menu. Just stacked text that should be the menu. What's up with this?
I used this menu: responsive.coffeecup.com/coffeecup.zip
I double clicked the coffeecub.mb file
Then followed the steps on http://www.coffeecup.com/help/articles/ … -designer/
Why isn't the menu showing up in VSD as it does in the menu builder?

Hi Matthew,
Did you add the files to your site?
Did you add the files to your site?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

What do you mean "add the files to your site"?
In VSD you have to either add files from scripts and such that support their function or you have to manually ftp them to your host with an ftp app. If you ftp them to your server you won't see the script work on your pc but it will work online. If you add the files to your site in VSD you will have the benefit of seeing a local preview without publishing. To add files to your site you click "Edit" then "Add Files". From here you add all the directories and files necessary for the script to work.
There's one other option to get a local preview and that is to use the ftp to server option and then change all the src's in the scripts to absolute.
This will only work if you add the files to your site using the Add Files tool.
This will work if you ftp the files to your host only.

Thank you, so when I downloaded the file from: responsive.coffeecup.com/coffeecup.zip
I should extract/unzip the files
Open VSD
[*] Click "Edit" then "Add files" as you instructed
Question: Should I add ALL the files from the zip file?

You would export your your menu after your done designing it and add all the files in mymenuname_export.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Wait, I don't understand:
"Export" just brings up the code that this website: http://www.coffeecup.com/help/articles/ … -designer/
tells me to copy & paste, etc.
So how do I then "add files" to a text string... what is mymenuname_export? where is mymenuname_export? I do not see the existence of anything called "mymenuname_export".

When you save your menu, you give it a name, so the name you have given your menu is the one to replace 'mymenuname'. I would advise you to save the menu to desktop, it's easier to find it there than somewhere buried down the hierarchy on your computer. So when you add the code to VSD using the html tool, you also have to add the files which are inside that 'mymenuname_export' folder. I don't use VSD, but I seem to remember there is a button for adding files bottom right in the code window where you paste your html. If not, you can find it under one of the buttons in the menu bar.
Ha en riktig god dag!

So I clicked "edit", then added all the files downloaded from here: responsive.coffeecup.com/coffeecup.zip
I clicked preview, still nothing. I still don't understand where "mymenuname_export" is... it doesn't exist! My menu name is saved as "main menu". It is a .mb file.
So you guys are telling me there should be something called "main menu_export" somewhere, but there is not!

Reading what you are writing, have you opened Menu Builder and exported your menu? It sounds like you are just trying to use that zip file without it. You open that saved menu in Menu Builder and export it. After that, follow those instructions.
