Hello,
I purchased the CC everything pack a long time ago. Every time I try to create a website, I am boggled. I am currently using HTML Editor 12.8. I really don't know how to get started. I created a Website Project (see attachment). I am using "Working with Website Projects" under "help" in the program. I am down to the "server" part. Then I don't know what to do. Any and all suggestions appreciated. I feel like a blind man stumbling in the dark? :o

I do have a host and a web address, but now I need to create the pages to put there.

Thanks,

Dennis Fenske

Hi Dennis,

Have you looked at any of the themes that are included? Go to: File > New from Theme/Layout.
You can also get that option when the Editor first opens – you can choose New Project from Theme.

Once you open a theme in the Editor, go to preview (the globe in the top toolbar towards the right), choose local preview. Now you can see what the page will look like before you add your own content.

If you'd rather start from scratch, click the page icon (top toolbar, far left) and choose new blank page.
Then go to File > Save As and name it index.html, save it to your Project folder. Click the tab with the + on it at the top of the workspace next to your first page tab to add another page. Name and save it.

Hi Dennis, Welcome to the CC forum. You don't have to be crazy to post in this forum but it sure does help.
I would start from a simple theme and practice altering it.:) You can always go back to the original if you mess up.;)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

You might also want to check out some tutorials on HTML and CSS to help you understand things better. There's a pretty decent one here (which you'll find the most up to date standards listed):
