I have never used any of the free host. Did you get the preview to work? You don't need a host to see your site in preview mode.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

There is a thread about hosting providers here:
http://www.coffeecup.com/forums/the-bre … g-service/

And yes, you have to set up an ftp account with details given to you by the hosting provider you choose. But I thought you had one already? Or were those the internet access details from your ISP (internet service provider)? If they were, you would have to check with your ISP if they also provide some space for websites, the conditions for use (most likely just for a private site, not anything commercial) and what ftp details to use.

ok so I registerd the domain name for free via a promotion of my internet provider.

Now I will try to find a host.

then they will provide me with a username and password, which I should enter in my FTP-setting. Am I correct?

The site that I have created using Coffeecup visual site designer is all working in the preview. All links work & all lay-out matters are perfect.

But I'm still having trouble with making the HTML codes of my preferred google-gadgets. I'm doing everything like you tould me, but still I don't get in the preview mode?!

I would like to thank you very much for your help and patience !

Can your IP provide hosting?

I'm looking into it right now.

As for the FTP, I downloaded your free ftp program.

Would this resolve the preview of the HTML - google gadgets ?
If I fill in my FTP settings finaly.

No, FTP and hosting has nothing to do why your google gadget wont show when you click preview.
What browser are you previewing in?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

the built-in brower

i just changed it to the default browers.

Oh boy, I'm so sorry for waisting all your time.

But can I ask what this means? Will my site be different in explorer and firefox (this is the browser which I use)?

I just got my internet provider to be host for my site.

I would like to thank you for all your patience and all your help, I really couldn't have done all this without you.

The FTP prog. has nothing to do with the preview. You should be able to preview it locally in the browser when clicking on the little monitor to the right on the VSD toolbar.

Which browser are you using anyway? If Internet Explorer, you will have to click on a grey bar to allow something. If you have Firefox, it should be visible right there. In fact, I recommend that you download and install Firefox as there are much less issues with it compared to IE.
