Do you have a fire wall or anti-virus running?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

I set up a server on a pc at home but it was just a test. I didn't have a static IP address so I would have to update it all the time if I kept it active. Web hosting really is cheap.

The post from Armon is over a year old. I can say with certainty the software works with Hostgator as we have an account with them and routinely test all of our software with their servers.

If you are stuck, please open a support ticket and we will do our best to help.

Hi,
I am trying to create an instaweb site and then upload it to a hosted website on go daddy that already exists. I am using a mac pro laptop running mountain lion (osx 10.8.2) and when I try to upload to my other website the only option I am given is to go to the website gbergfolkart.com@coffee cup.com not to gbergfolkart.com. How can I use your file transfer protocol (FTP)to accomplish my goal. I do like your software but I have already established and paid for the other domain and web hosting.

Thanks for your help.

GRB – Instaweb is designed for use on SDrive. You might be able to have it display on your non-SDrive site by loading it in an Iframe, also, I don't know if it produces some embed code or not like some of the other CC products.
In your SDrive account, check to see what's displayed under Default Account & uncheck the 'make this the primary account' option. Now your original home page should show instead.
You could also transfer your domain name to your SDrive account so you wouldn't have the coffeecup.com on the end of it. Might be an option when your existing hosting plan comes up for renewal.

Why am I being asked for an IP number on Hostgator? I have never needed one before?

I won't open a connection to 192.168.1.3 (only to 23.241.223.42).

Thanks.

A 192.* IP address is a local network one. Unless you have an FTP server installed on that server, you won't be able to connect. You need a public IP address which is 23.241.223.42.

Contact Hostgator support and they should be able to help if you still have issues.
