formating and installation on a usb -...
Is there a way to format the code so all the tags line up etc...? In some editors I can highlight the text and use Ctrl k f to format it. Also, is there a way I can put the program on a USB so I can use it on different computers? I am a student and sometimes I work on my home computer and sometimes I need to work on my school computer.
Hiya Greg,
Although I'm not sure which program you're talking about, I'm assuming it's the HTML Editor or the OSX Web Editor?
I don't believe the HTML Editor has any type of "prettifier" (just made up a new word! haha) at this time, not sure on the OSX version. Code cleaner will line everything up to the left with no indentation at all and not sure how good that feature is as I don't use it. So I think the answer on that question is no, it doesn't have any feature for lining up and indenting code automatically in the HTML. It does do a fair job of trying to keep the CSS lined up though if that helps.
As for your 2nd question about the USB, that would also be a no, but... with the paid versions of the programs you are allowed to install each program on up to 3 computers for your use. If it will be used by other people then a new license needs to be purchased.
Hope that helps

In case of the HTML Editor, it installes in the appdata folder under your user name, so provided you use a password on your work computer, the license won't be broken. Some of the other programmes have an option to install just for your own use or for everyone using the computer. But I don 't remember which programmes.
Ha en riktig god dag!

Hey greg.gadowski,
Did you find a way to install the html editor on usb?
I have the exact same problem.
I am working on different computers and the only person who can install software is the server administrator.

As already stated, it's not installable on a USB drive, it's not meant to be a take it with you on every computer you work on software
You are allowed to install it on 3 computers for your own use, not sure if any future updates will include any options on this, maybe they will create a mobile version of it or something... never can tell
