Form Builder integration with PayPal...

I have loaded a form to the site shown above (www.dancenotes.co.uk/Representatives/Re … nForm.html) and set it up to accept payment via PayPal upon submission. In order to test this, I have tried completing the form and making payment via a personal PayPal account (different from the one accepting the payment). When I click through, I see the message asking to 'pay now' and am then taken to the PayPal log-in, which also shows the transaction details. However, when I log-in to PayPal, I am just taken to my account overview and no transaction is made.

I suspect I may have missed something in setting up the form to accept payment. This is potentially a really useful feature for me and I would like to use it elsewhere on my site, so it would be great f you could help me identify where I've gone wrong.

many thanks

I hate to state the obvious but unless you complete the payment transaction Paypal does nothing with the order
The reason i mention this is in your scenario you do not mention receiving (as the customer ) confirmation of your payment

? have you completed the payment

I haven't been able to complete the payment, which is the problem - when I fill out the form and click 'submit', I am shown the notice to say that payment is required and displaying the Paypal button. On clicking that button, the correct amount and details are displayed alongside the PayPal log-in. However, when I log in (as the customer), I am just taken to my account and no transaction is shown.

I have since been receiving the following from PayPal:

Please check your server that handles PayPal Instant Payment Notifications (IPN). Instant Payment Notifications sent to the following URL(s) are failing:

Unfortunately, I have not been able to get a response from hosting provider in response to this but would I be correct in assuming the problem lies with them?

You shouldn't have to login to make the payment should you?

Yes you need to log into PayPal whenever you do a payment to anyone. This is usually integrated seemlessly so that when you get to PayPal from a vendor's site it usually has a message or the purchase info on the left, and the login setup on the right. When you log in it then asks you how you want to pay, either using your PayPal balance, credit card or bill me later thing. You do your choice and it will usually then go back to the merchants site to complete the transaction or it completes it on PayPal, depending on the setup and not sure on this one since I've not done a purchase through CC's site in a few years :)

So, yes, you have to log into PayPal each time to make a transaction, after all that is their only way to be sure it's your account right? :)

You don't have to login if you pay with a credit card.;)

No, you don't have to log-in if you use a credit card but that's not rely the point. I am trying to test the form and its ability to generate a PayPal payment. It takes me through the steps as described by Jo Ann but then, rather than completing payment, it just takes me (as the purchaser) to my account overview
