I have lots of photo's to put on a web page and I would like for them to be small thumbnails and then mouseover and the photo becomes larger?

Thank you

Hi Mary,
CC doesn't have a program to do this but you can add some code to your page to make it happen. Check out the site in my signature for some examples.

Rolly could they do this by putting each full size picture on its own page ( picture 1 picture 2 so on)
then add a link to each thumbnail (using buttoniser or link tool ) and have them open in :: new page, blank so each one opens in a new tab
Just incase their looking for a non technical workaround in VSD
Sounds like a photography site where image quality is important

Give Visual Light Box a try Mary, http://visuallightbox.com and see if that's what you're looking for. It's a program that does it all for you. Does the thumbnails, gives you options on how you want them to look, gives you themes for the zoomed up box for images etc. You have to click the images to make them zoom out, but it works pretty nicely.
You can see an example here: http://lbwebsites.com and on the menu go to the Templates area. Let me know if you need more assistance on this program and I can try to help out there.
If you're looking for just a mouseover rather than a click option, then you may not find a "program" to do it for you, but I'm not positive on that.
Holy cow mods, you removed our post! I spent 3 hours perfecting that video tutorial for Mary after she emailed us asking how to install Magic Zoom on her CoffeeCup VSD website.
Come on folks - please be a bit more considerate. We're here to help CoffeeCup users and strengthen the CoffeeCup community.
Mary - would you mind putting in a word about how we've helped you by creating a nice video tutorial on YouTube for you to follow? I've put aside a whole bunch of jobs for 3+ hours to show you how to achieve the zoom effect you wanted. That's how much we care!
Thanks

Hiya Magic,
That would be me that did that, and I'm sorry if that upsets you but...
We have no idea you're conversing with people in emails. You are a guest so you are not a customer of CC software, and you are actually from a different software company. Hence your tutorial was removed.
If you are conversing in emails, then emails would be the place to answer her in rather than a random post (well random looking to us that is lol) with instructions for using software you are obviously trying to market at the same time with.
Apologies if that wasn't the case, but look at it from our point of view. We get a lot of software developers that come here from time to time to do exactly what it looked like you were doing, marketing their product on other software companies forums.
Please feel free to email her since you have her email already and discuss the issues with her there, but at this point there's no need for you to put tutorials to your products (or affiliate product if it's not your product) while being a guest here. Thanks for understanding, and if you are working for the Magic Toolbox company, then I would hope you'd understand that point of view.
Have a great day.

Thanks Jo Ann. No worries. Moderating forums is a never-ending job but important (we shelved our forum in favour of GetSatisfaction partly due to spam moderation).
We emailed Mary the YouTube link for the Magic Zoom + CoffeeCup tutorial yesterday, so I expect she'll get back to us soon.
It's still worth sharing the link here to help other CoffeeCup users!
Thanks,
Jake

For Joomla Site you can use Mouse Over Zoom - it's a Joomla Extension that enables you to view bigger versions of the thumbnails. See the example here http://joomlaboat.com/mouse-over-zoom. Now you can browse images with ease: just move the mouse cursor over thumbnails to view images in their full size without loading a new page.
Pictures are automatically resized if they don't fit the window. You can customize the extension there are a lot of additional options. In order to load transparent images, without background just use .png images.
Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
