I downloaded Coffeecup software yesterday and the first I wanted to do is cleanup my existing html files before seeing coffeecups features.

My existing files are responsive html 5, css3 based.

But when I select Code Cleaner it just hangs (circle rotates to show its busy!!).

Nothing happens at all. Have I done something wrong in the installation or is there a fault with the software.

You must be talking about the HTML Editor. It's working here. What kind of file are you testing it with, and have you changed the settings (options) for the code cleaner?
