??????????? characters when paste...
Hello to all,
I was looking for some software for editing my site: slotcar-israel.com and downloaded the try version of CoffeeCup.
The site until now was written in Notepad and all the content is in Hebrew language, I saved all the html pages as Unicode.
I write the Hebrew sections in Word and copy-paste them into Notepad because it is more easy to write in Word in Hebrew.
With Coffeecup I have a problem: when I try to copy-paste the file from Notepad to the Coffeecup editor I see the ?????????????? characters instead all the characters in Hebrew. The editor is not writing in Hebrew too and instead I see some unrecognizable characters.
There is some solution to this problem?, it is your software supporting Hebrew? May a problem of definitions in the interface?
Please help me because I'm very interesting in buy this software, I will design another site soon and working with Notepad is very difficult to me.
Thank you and best regards.
Ernesto.

YI think you'll need to change your character set.
Try this.
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type"
content="text/html;charset=ISO-8859-8">

Hi Eric and thank you for trying to help me.
My problem is not in the encoding of the page but in the script of the editor itself, The panel of the editor is not accepting the fonts in hebrew language from my computer and you can see some garbage instead.
How can insert the encoding of the hebrew language in the character set of the CoffeeCup?.
Even if I choose the hebrew characters in the Charset in quick start it is impossible to write in hebrew in the editor.
Best regards and thank you again.

Hello Gunsmoke,
I am very grateful for your help.
Yes I try it and it is help, I can paste the new text with unicode characters directly in CoffeeCup, My problem now is how can I know that this application will stand forever?, I need something more consistent like a plug in the editor in order to work without external dependencies.
May be you have another solution?
Thank you and have a good day

Well, there is a forum to make suggestions for improvements to CoffeeCup programs. I would go to the HTML Editor Forum and the first one listed should be for suggestions. Put what you need in there and CoffeeCup will take it into consideration for an upgrade.
This forum is for users and we are all users, just like you. We don't work for CoffeeCup. However, the CC gurus do look in on occasion but the best way to suggest an improvement is to list it in the improvement forum for the particular software you are using.
Glad I could help, sorry I don't have a more permanent fix. Hopefully CC will come out with an update soon...
