Change template updates all pages...
Hi
Can someone from the community confirm which software to use for the following issue. Can I set up template webpages and then add editable content to that page. Then if I decide at a later date to change the template I can then apply that change to all the pages which use the template without having to re-enter the content. This was a very useful feature of GoLive (showing my age I think) many moons ago and after a few hours looking round at Coffecup software I have not found an answer.
Thanks Aidan

The only apps that do that on CC are not website design apps. If you learn a little bit of html and CSS you can quickly change your existing sites colors in the html editor with it's built in split screen preview.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

I could swear someone else just asked almost that identical question a few days ago.
@Eric - its not about changing a colour or a background - it is adding links adding new info boxes in the left and right hand columns of a 3 column layout.
@Jo - can you point me to that thread - will search further anyway.

no worries aidan, I couldn't find it myself just looking for it earlier and I don't think there have been any helpful answers there at all. For the most part you're going to need to redo the themes from scratch for websites. I don't believe any of the builders will input different themes for you once you've got the site completed. There are some that will allow you to setup a theme, but I don't know of any real good builders that give you the ability to swap themes out unless you're using something like a CMS as in Wordpress or Joomla where you can choose whatever theme you want any time you want with pretty minimal editing. That's about the only way I know of that you're going to be able to do that. VSD or HTML Editor and many of the other popular ones aren't going to have the ability to do that for the most part.
Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
